DIY Ideas

This is genius! I have seen those touch screen gloves around, but these lace ones are even cuter! Not to mention cheaper to make!

I love this song lyric banner DIY! I would do Kate Nash lyrics.

I LOVE elbow patches! This DIY is pretty intense but it looks so cute.

This ombre pom DIY is super pretty.

DIY: Quick Gift Bow

Materials:
-Scrap wrapping paper (2 kinds)
-Scissors
-Tape

Cut 3 strips of wrapping paper, each one a little smaller than the other.

Lay them out with the skinniest strip down first in an asterisk shape.

Begin to fold them in, taping as you go.

When you are done taping, flip it over and add a shape of a different wrapping paper to the middle. I chose to put a heart in the middle!

Tape it on a present and there you have it!

I hope you enjoyed this DIY! Let me know if you try it!

Outfit: Sweetheart, Bitter Heart

So I must start out this post with a little story about this hat. I became a fashion blogger for Oasap not too long ago and was granted $30 to spend in their shop with the agreement that I would do an outfit post for them. I ended up picking this adorable cat ear bowler hat that barely fit in my spending limit. When I received the hat in the mail, it was completely smashed because it was sent in A BAG! I thought it was a dvd or something that I ordered, yeah that bad. I managed to get it looking somewhat presentable, but even in these photos you can see some dents. I am just extremely disappointed because how could I share something on my blog that I didn't think was worth the money. I mean really, this was a $30 hat, it should have been amazing. Oasap did however offer me another $30 with an extra added $10 to try again. I am going to take them up on their offer and see how it goes. They did apologize a bunch and told me that they talked to their supplier about the packaging problem.
Cardigan- Thrifted
Dress- Modcloth
Tights- Jo Boxer (kmart
Shoes- Ebay
Hat- c/o Oasap

Here is what the hat looks like close up. It's a cute hat, and I would not be complaining so much if it was a $5 hat. This is a $30 hat that was packaged so poorly, that it sends the message that they do not care about their customers at all.
It is pretty much impossible to get those dents out. I once found a hat in the depths of my closet that looked like this and I ended up having to throw it away. This one isn't so bad once you put it on.
I LOVE this dress! Dominick bought it for my birthday and I couldn't be happier.
Whew, such a ranty outfit post. Have you ever ordered from Oasap? What was your experience?

P.S. My brother is obsessed with the Feist song 1234 and sings it all the time, it is pretty much the cutest thing ever.

DIY Ideas

This gift bag DIY is SO cute. I am in love.

This felt Christmas tree DIY is so lovely. It reminds me of Dr. Suess in a way.

I really want to try and do this leather pouch DIY, I feel like she is right about it being a perfect gift. Also, I have seen that Tokyomilk around, does anyone have it? How do you like it?

This chalkboard plate DIY is brilliant!

I want to try putting patches on a sweater so bad. I love the floral fabric used in this DIY.

Happy crafting!

Thrifty Gift Swap Revealed!

For the Thrifty Gift Swap I participated in, I got partnered up with Amanda of Salvaged Strawberry, and boy did she hook me up! Here is everything that she thrifted for me!

Leg warmers! I really really like this pair, they are comfy and warm.

The packaging was so cute. I love this tag that was attached to the leg warmers. Everything was wrapped in cute Holiday wrapping paper too. I wish I would have taken photos, but I was too excited and immediately tore into them.

A lovely red scarf with adorable little envelope pockets! I am going to conquer my fear of wearing red with this.

I will most definitely be wearing those reindeer earrings to all of my Christmas parties!

Thank you so much Amanda! I know you put a lot of thought into this because your gifts fit my style perfectly. I am glad to hear that you loved my gifts to you as well!

You can see what I got Amanda here. Have any of you ever participated in a gift swap? Leave a link if you revealed the outcome, I love to read those posts!

DIY: Gift Tags

I came up with this simple little gift tag DIY and thought it would be fun to share.
I used tape on the ends of my thread so that it wouldn't slip through the paper, and then again to secure it after I was done sewing.
Materials: thread and needle, scissors, tape, index cards.
Another tip: Poke the holes through before you start, that way you have a guide line and you don't bend the paper as much. Also, maybe write on them first so that your hand writing comes out the way you planned, mine are a tad sloppy.

Happy Crafting!

P.S. Let me know if you try this! I would love to see!

Outfit: The Glorious Holiday Dress

Here is a rare site, indoor outfit photos! This dress is the perfect holiday dress, so I decided that I should be festive and stand next to Dominick's pretty Christmas tree.
I am in love with this dress that eShakti sent me. I chose to skip the custom fitting this time and went with the small/6, knee length, and with cap sleeves. It turned out to fit perfectly based on their measurements. Also, it is so well made! I am thoroughly impressed. I will most definitely be ordering something in the future.
Dominick thought this was a funny photo because he focused on the wooden beam instead of me.
Dress- c/o eShakti
Tights- Joe Boxer
Shoes- Payless

The details on the dress are so pretty. I cannot express how much I love this dress.
Joy tea is so delicious, especially with vanilla and cream. If you go to Starbucks, order a tall Joy tea with 2 pumps of vanilla, 2 sugars, and a tiny bit of cream. You wont be disappointed.
