DIY: Lace Shorts

My sister gave me this pair of shorts and I thought they needed to be jazzed up a bit. So here is a little tutorial on how to add lace ribbon to your shorts.
-plain jane shorts- -thread and needle- -lace ribbon- -scissors-
Line up your lace with the bottom of your shorts and cut it to size. You do not need to be exact because you can always go back and add more lace. I ended up having to do that and it was no biggie.
Sew through the lace and the inside piece of your shorts, that way your stitching will not show through. I lined the top of my lace with the top of the fold in the shorts. Do this to the front and back of each leg and then you are all set!
Easy peasy! I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial!

I saw something like this on pinterest and it was too cute! I don't think I have the right pair of shorts for it though.

This is so creative! I think I'm going to do the same but with another kind of fabric. You're very inspiring!

Love it! Hey Stephanie, I've heard a product called Stitch Witchery works well for projects like this, you may want to try that if sewing ain't your thang ;)

Oooh, girl. I am going to do this! I have just the pair of jeans shorts (except my husband uses them sometimes for one of his drag looks so I hope he doesn't mind...).
