Cheap Dates: Sewing Party

Amanda is officially my "cheap dates buddy." We are always finding new things to do that cost close to nothing. We both like to save our money.
      Where: Amanda's house
Cost: $0 (Unless you need to buy fabric and clothing)
      Outcome: Fun and relaxing
Amanda and I both had clothes we needed to alter. This would have been really productive but something went wrong with the bobbin and the stitches kept coming loose.
Amanda's cat, Mr. Finn, was very interested in what we were doing. He had his eye on that thread for awhile before jumping up on the table and knocking one down to play with.
While you are altering your clothing, a movie makes some good background sound. Amanda picked these two out, but we ended up watching The Labyrinth. Oh, and make sure you have snacks!
We realized that we did not have any pins, so we ran to Meijer and Amanda bought these cute shape ones.
Our sewing party is Finn approved!

Looks like so much fun!! I wish I had a sewing buddy! It would make my sewing adventures less stressful because when I'm alone I end up just fighting with the machine. haha

Sounds like you guys were having tension problems with your bobbin. Maybe you need to adjust it so the threads don't come loose.
It looks like a really fun date time with a friend. :)

I wish so much I had a sewing buddy! I do love popping in a movie while I work on a project though.
That cat has the cutest chubby face!
I have butterfly shaped pins, they are my favorite cause they are nice and flat and easy to get around the fabric when everything is pinned up!

Love this!
