Outfit: Windy Cindy

birddress1
Michigan really needs to get it's junk together. It was so windy and rainy the day we took these photos. Luckily it rained after we left. It will be 80 degrees one day and the next day it is 60 degrees and hailing. I assure you that what they say about Michigan weather is absolutely true.

I cannot get enough of this fox necklace. I feel like I wear it every other day. It literally goes with any outfit.

Since I work at Starbucks, I get to try all the new drinks and flavors before everyone else. The new drinks coming your way are  gonna be delicious...just sayin.

You can kinda tell how windy it was in this photo. Next time I'll just have to embrace the wind. I was getting so frustrated because I tried to curl my hair and the wind got rid of it almost instantly. Michiganders just have to embrace it, ya know?

I feel like I am constantly wearing these shoes. They are the comfiest and I love how they are a mixture of tennis shoes and oxfords. I wish they weren't discontinued, I would buy them in more colors. I had to hunt these down online.

Outfit: Cozy Floral

This dress is one of my new favorites. It is perfect in every way. The back is open, which I love so much. I'm sure I will do a summery outfit with it and then you will be able to see.
My good friend Laura hand painted this bag! Isn't it just the cutest?!
Dress c/o August Wrinkle
Sweater- F21
Link Brooch-Synapse to Synapse
Fleece Tights- Christmas gift
Kitty tote- A gift/Lauryn Green
Oxfords- Ebay

Dominick bought me this embroidered Link brooch for my birthday and I just cannot even express how much I adore it. It is pure handmade heaven.
My bangs have been doing crazy things lately so please do not focus on the one bit of hair that is in the middle of my forehead like I am.

Stuff I Luff #51

This shirt needs to be in my life, it is absolutely wonderful.

This little gourd container is adorable and unique.

My friend got me two mason jar tumblers and I love them to death. This set from Modcloth are especially lovely because they have flower shaped cut-outs on the top.

Although cicadas are quite gross and terrifying in real life, these earrings are really cute.

Oh how lovely is this shirt!? The layered collar looks so nice, and the lace makes it all so fancy.

It's My Birthday, and I Blog If I Want To

Woop! Today was my birthday, (I'm 20!) and Dom and I went to an art museum! My dad made me sauerbraten for dinner, and it was delicious! Dom got me this dress from Modcloth! I am super excited about it. Tomorrow is my party!

Outfit: Condominiums

Dominick and I were quite dissapointed to see that there were way less trees in this little spot near his house. We remembered it being much prettier. Now there are condos as far as the eye can see. Although, Dominick did a good job of cutting them out of the photos.
I love wearing this bow tie, I am finding so many new ways to wear it!
Shirt- Borrowed from Seastar (F21)
Cardigan/Boots/Jeans- Thrifted
Bag- Borrowed from Seastar (Target)
Hat- Target
Wooden bow tie- Havok Designs
I am getting a trim soon so that the sides of my hair can catch up with the back. I cannot stand the mullet-y thing. Hopefully I can get it before my birthday, which is this upcoming Friday!! Woop! I'll be 20!

So...I kind of forgot to choose a winner for the 500 Follower Giveaway, woopsie. So head on over and see if you won!

A Terrifically Tacky Tutorial

DIY: The Tacky Collared Shirt

This is a very simple tutorial with very little supplies, enjoy!

Supplies: Old T-Shirt, Pretty Fabric, Scissors, One Cute Button, and A Needle and Thread.

Step 1: Cut out two moon shapes for your collar. Mine have two layers so they are thicker. Also, I recommend applying a very little amount of clear nail polish to the edges to keep them from fraying.

Step 2: Line up the collars to the edge of the neckline. Sew across the top of each collar. I simply sewed across both of them.

Step 3: Sew your button in the middle of the two collars. This will hide any uneven-ness.

Presto! You are now ready to wear your tacky shirt! If you notice that your collar is uneven, which I am noticing now, simply trim the edges and re-apply clear nail polish.

Enjoy, and don't be afraid to be silly!
