Here are more photos from our trip to Chicago! It seems so long ago already and it was only last week!

After we took this photo a bunch of other people started taking jumping photos. Trendsetters we are.

Derek took the coolest jellyfish photos while we were at Shedd Aquarium.

When I lived in California as a child, I used to catch starfish when we went to the beach. It was really cool to be able to touch starfish again.


Seriously Derek takes the best aquarium photos ever.

The Windy City

On Monday my sister, boyfriend, friend, and myself headed out for Chicago. We went from being super intimidated by the bus system, to being pros in a matter of three days.

The Art Institute of Chicago was fabulous. I saw so many paintings I thought I'd never see in real life. It really is different to view art in person than on a computer screen.



I thought this was the coolest thing. You can sort of "rent: bicycles. You just pay for the amount of time you want to use it, then return it.

This guy was totally weird. He was a rollerblading super hero lizard direction man. You give him money, then he answers any directional questions you may have. Creative...

I was really excited to be off of the bus and walking around.

The Bean! I never thought a huge glass lima bean would be so cool.

I really can't wait to go on another trip to Chicago! There is so much to see that I feel like it takes multiple trips to see it all. I will share more photos in another post soon!

Dominick and I were originally planning on taking a trip to Chicago in July. We are having a really hard time finding a hotel that does not require a 21 year old to check in. We are also having trouble deciding on whether we should take the train or drive. Now, we are looking at other places to visit because it is so much of a hassle.  I would love suggestions from you guys! Here are the requirements, if you will, of our mini vacation spot.

Those are our three main concerns for our trip. Since I began writing this post, we have been looking into going to Niagra Falls in Canada and staying in a hotel with a fallsview. Any suggestions or experiences you would like to share?
